The latest texture experiments include new river, road, field and highland textures. The screenshots are showing preliminary results. Based on the shots we're going to improve the textures. E.g. the transitions/boundaries need improvement, the color should be adjusted and so on.
A first trial to simulate soft hills. Way to much contrast. Tiles not well. Looks good from low, but not so good from high altitude.
Same texture, looking more eastwards. The dark areas have already been corrected, after taking these shots. Rotating the textures does no good at the moment.
A nice geysir. This texture can't be used in a generic manner. This is good to place in certain areas (most probably where only a few other textures are used).
